I am so ready to start a new week today. So ready. But there are things that I want to remember.
I loosely followed the Bad Yogi Cleanse from Erin Motz this week. I just wanted to take the thought out of menu planning. I really enjoyed it. I like how it is organized and the rationale for each day. It resonated with me because it is low lots of things, but not anti anything. Low dairy, low simple carb, low meat. But not dairy-free, no-carb, or meatless. Lots of meat and veggie protein. Right up my alley.
I stopped at Starbucks and got an unsweetened Passion Tango tea the day that they released their new menu. My table ws fancy. (And have you tried Trader Joe’s hummus? Only the BEST HUMMUS EVER.)
I made some bold goals. I wrote them down. And then I covered them up. I know they are there, but they aren’t jumping out at me when I’m not ready for them.
I went to a yoga class 6 of the past 7 days (and they are closed on Fridays anyway). I am completely in love with the space at Barefoot Works. Or – as it is lovingly called – the Treehouse.
Afternoons at work call for strong pot in the breakroom. And I giggle every single time I walk past it.
Favorite salad of the week: spinach, strawberries, cucumbers, chickpeas, almonds, goat cheese, and some balsamic vinegar.
Grocery store salad (I love French dressing!) with a broken fork. That fourth tong is really necessary.
Like I said above, lots of yoga.
Also on the menu: mushroom stroganoff. This might have been my favorite dinner this week.
Or this chickpea veggie soup with lots of tumeric. And cheese!
One of the photo assignments for AugustBreak this week was to show the contents of my purse. Yup, I’m still in love with Big Kate!
